A new hotel brand OMO launched by Hoshino Resorts opened it’s first two hotels in 2018.
Since the hotel promises “a treasure box for the traveler” with pretty affordable prices, we booked a room from OMO5 Tokyo Otsuka to see what is this treasure holding inside it and this is what we came up with:
First: location is great. Near Otsuka Station, in the local neighbourhood, surrounded by locals and all the small restaurants and bars you will jump straight into the real Otsuka athmosphere.
Interior is pretty and.. genius. Modern, woody and Japanese mix of colours and details – all perfectly tied together.
Rooms are lovely, fresh and practical. You have everything you might need.
Especially we loved the bathroom – that’s usually the area that tells most about the room.
Other things we love about OMO 5 Tokyo Otsuka:
The service which is full of good energy, warmth and helpfulness.
Also they offer guided tours, lots of information and knowledge for travelers and cozy public areas at the hotel to spend some time relaxing and having a little break with coffee and free WiFi.
Lively, fresh and basically everything a traveler can ask for – OMO 5 Tokyo Otsuka is a great choice for both: a couple nights or even a longer stay.
A great choice for a traveler who wants to discover and experience the local living and at the same time enjoy the stay and services of the hotel.
The “treasure box for the traveler” was definitely not too much promised.
84 rooms & 17 floors in the heart of Tokyo’s Otemachi financial district.
This luxury “ryokan” (traditional Japanese inn) with modern setting and style will give you a memorable experience of Japanese traditions and hospitality at it’s best.
The atmosphere in Hoshinoya Tokyo is something that makes you feel like you have arrived in another, peaceful world.
The moment you step into this world, you will feel, smell and see it.
First thing you will do is taking your shoes off and leaving them to the first floor -that can sound funny for some of us at first, but soon walking around with no shoes on will actually start feeling so liberating that you won’t want to put them on ever again.
Staying in Hoshinoya Tokyo will be a relaxing, five-star experience at it’s very own way.
Shortly we would say that Ryokan is an unique, ejoyable, soft and calming world that you won’t find anywhere else.
In Hoshinoya Tokyo there are three types of rooms:
Yuri & Sakura which are the main room types and Kiku , which is the bigger corner room.
The interior with it’s colors and materials is also Japanese style, simple and beautiful. Wood, bamboo, tatami floors..
And oh, the bed. You will sleep like a baby in that one.
And last but not least our favorite: the Spa on 17th floor with differet kinds of treatments and a hot-spring bath.
Do we need to say more? Maybe this: If you ever are in Tokyo, trust us: you want to experience this.
